How To Peel A Pomegranate
Do you eat pomegranates very often?
No?
Pomegranates are super healthy and full of anti-oxidants, and you SHOULD eat them… a LOT!
So … WHY don’t you eat them?
Is it because they are a PAIN IN THE BUTT to peel?
Yah, that used to be MY excuse too …
… until I discovered this secret trick. Now I eat them all the time and it barely takes me any time or effort to get into them and extract the yummy goodness!
So, without further ado, HERE is how to peel a pomegranate:
EASY, EH??? Now get your butt to the market and stock up on pomegranates, for YOUR better health and nutrition!
And hey, since we’re on the topic of yummy and healthy foods, don’t forget my last post where I extoled the virtues of Mike Geary’s new nutrition book Fat Burning Kitchen…
…it lists all sorts of GREAT healthy foods and explicit instruction on not just eating RIGHT but avoiding all the pitfalls leading to eating WRONG … (unfortunately there’s no pomegranate peeling tricks though … you’ll have to come HERE for gems like that! haha).
Check out what I’ve got to say about it in last week’s post: Fat Burning Kitchen Review
If you’re like ME and don’t like to treat YOUR body like a garbage dump and only put great, healthy and fat-burning foods into it, then Mike’s book is a ‘MUST READ’.

And last but not least, here’s today’s Workout Song of the Day. Sorry to disappoint but I just couldn’t find a way to work this one in to the theme of the post. I just think it’s a great song that’s super-duper for cardio workouts. Enjoy!!

I take my 1 medium pomegranate every day in my GENESIS. =) I avoid the pain of peeling it and Genesis has 30 bottles or red wine’s worth of resveratrol in every one ounce as well. Some days I take more. =)

thanks Lisa.
Is that a supplement? A liquid? A pill?
I PERSONALLY don’t approve of supplements or ANYTHING processed, believing that all nutrition can come from whole, natural foods if you eat properly and from all food groups, etc. I just don’t like what happens to food and the nutrition it contains once mankind starts processing the hell out of it!!!
:-)
shoot us a link to your product tho, so we can all make up our minds for ourselves!! thanks

Hey Jackie!
I’ve been skimming over your blog and run across this post about this great fruit, the pomegranate.
Nice video there. Good way not spot place :)
I would like to tell a little info here about this great fruit that almost a few of us know about. It’s the spongy white pulp! I don’t know why most of people just throw it away. Although it has many healthy benefits that many of us don’t know. After doing a little search, this link can show you the beneifts of eating the white pulp, or the membrane: http://seasonalcooking.suite101.com/article.cfm/can_pomegranate_membrane_be_eaten
Yes, the membrane is usually bitter-tasting, but I’m used to it! I try to eat a bite of the membrane followed by a spoon of arils/seeds. WOW, I like that taste!
You better give it a try!
