BodyWeight Exercise – PushUps
Hi everyone. Well, its snowing in Vancouver again. grrr…!!! We all know how I feel about snow!
But I digress! On with the workout!
Today, bodyweight exercises are the topic again. I cover one of my very favourite moves and some great variations for different levels.
PUSHUPS!!!
On with the show:
Ok, guess what else? Even I’m learning something from my videos. I just learned that my form is slightly off when I do pushups.
I had no idea I was lowering my head / bending my neck so much to get my nose to the ground. Something even for ME to work on after today!! I may not have learned that for a long time without reviewing my own video!
So, keep that in mind when doing your own pushups. Neck straight! Learn from my mistakes! Thanks guys, and Jarret in particular, for asking for me to cover bodyweight exercises.

What timing! This week a few blogger chicks are starting the PUSHUP CHALLENGE…there is a link on my site http://raechellesblog.blogspot.com/ that takes you to another blog and then she has links to the pushup challenge site…it’s a program designed to get a person up to 100 pushups in 6 weeks! There are some vids of form too ;-)
Cheers! Bummer about the snow!

Try doing pushups with your elbows in close to your body rather than flared out. I think you’ll like it :)

hey chick!! thanks for the post. Yah, I’ve been getting alot of spam lately so I have a couple of tools in place to keep them out. Sorry you didn’t get automatically approved. Don’t let that stop ya tho, I’ll always approve you! :-) thanks for the link, funny I actually saw that yesterday and thought the same thing about coincidence, knowing that pushups were my next subject!!

Thanks for the video once again, much appreciated :)
I am already working on push-ups and using my bed as a platform, my feet end up about 2 or so feet off the ground so it’s a start ;) I eventually want to get into handstand push-ups as you mentioned but I’m pretty sure that I need to know how to perform a handstand first without falling flat on my face lol

Omg thats so crazy! Yeah I was watching the commercials for P90X and while it looks awesome, it looks like its not too practical. If one isnt careful about their form, they can seriously hurt themselves! Tricky business. Thanks for the info!
