Powerwalking and Hamstrings
Hi everyone.
Thanks for the comments in the last post about my computer trauma. Still working that out.
My hamstrings are being evil to me lately too, so I have to slow down the workout mania a little… particularly my cardio routines. Now pay attention here because I said “slower”, but I did not say “shorter”. LOL!!
Sometimes I question my own sanity!!
Check it out!
And here’s today Workout Song of the Day … in honour of getting stuck in the rain on our powerwalk today, here’s a great song for Cardio.
Fantastic rhythms always get me running faster… surely this song will get you moving faster, too!!

Hi Lady,
How r you doing? Great vlog as always and hope your hip is better..
I on the other hand am doing great as well… I started doing the Beach Body P90X program and I killed three weeks already, still nine to go… Today is my day off before starting week 4 of the program which is basically a recovery week, however I think that there’s no recovery to it ;-).. Yesterday’s work-out was Kenpo X (A cardio work out to get your aggression out containing some moves of martial arts + tight core). Friday it was Legs and Back (legs weight training with a lot of pull-ups for crazy core-back muscles. Needs a bit more glute (butt) moves to really get that area but you’ll be dying during the pull-ups). And on Thursday it has been Yoga X (1,5h of Yoga which is a bit too long for me, but I kept pushing and made it through somehow :-)… )
Week 3 of P90X and I’m still feeling it, my body is sore on places I even didn’t know that I had musles on… Two weeks ago the Ramadan (muslim fasting month) did kick off and I’ve been basically eating raw (lots of salade, nuts and dried fruit) for 1 week, but for this last week I did implement a eating plan which I’ve found online based on the ramadan..a great article on Ramadan and Exercising online and they suggest the following eatplan (it shows perfectly at what times I will be eating the next month):
• 7pm: My P90X work-out;
• 9pm: break fast. Proteins & carbs. Pasta, tomato sauce, ground round.
• 10pm: proteins & carbs. Example: tuna, brown rice, pineapple.
• 11pm: light pre-bed meal. Cottage cheese, berries, ground flax seeds.
• 11:30pm: bedtime
• 3:30am: breakfast: eggs, veggies, meat. Back in bed after 1st prayer.
• 7am: wake up, get ready for work
• 5pm: 1 hour nap pre-workout
The article can be found through the following link (should you be interessted): http://stronglifts.com/ramadan-weight-lifting-training-build-muscle-lose-fat/
Well keep up the great work lady and keep in touch…

wow, you are on one heckuva regime gf! so, how do you like P90x? is this the first time you’re doing it?? is the Beach Body version different than the one you can get on TV or at the fitness store? It sounds like its kicking your butt, so that can’t be all bad eh? :-)
thanks for posting, that’s awesome!

Hey Lady,
I’m just using the dvd box of the program, which I think its the same program as on the infomercials in the US and Canada. A friend of mine brought for me from the States as the program isn’t available in Europe nor is it possible to have it shipped to Europe :-(.
This week is week 4, the so called Recovery Week and believe me no recovery whatsoever, my butt is still being kicked ;-)..
How have you been and what about your hamms? And of course your famous computer (maybe you should consider to give it its own blog as well hahaha)…
Be safe and catch up with ya later,
Chaymaa
