Kettlebells ‘n Twitterchats
Happy Monday!!
A new shiny week, full of possibilities, right? I’m going to make sure I work towards creating a stronger version of myself DAILY!
What are YOU going to make of this week?
Hey, I’d like to invite you to a special event:
I’m the featured guest on an upcoming Kettlebell discussion. Come be part of it!
Here’s more details:
Here’s a little more info from @scottbird about the event: Kettlebell Training for Beginners
Make sure you hit me up on Twitter (I’m @girlwithnoname) on Wednesday at 9pm EDT (6pm PDT) and hastag #sbgym to be part of (or just watch) the discussion.
Also, it’s really worth the listen if you’re looking to get leaner, fitter, stronger or healthier (and who isn’t?) … So once again, if you haven’t heard it yet, here’s the link to get yourself access to my Interview with Mike Geary.
Workout Song of the Day
Here’s a great little ditty for Cardio … it’s driving beat and awesome vocals will keep you movin’ … !!
SISTERS OF MERCY – This Corrosion
Don’t forget, if you love it, GO GET IT. A simple click on the Buy Button on the player widget will get you straight into Amazon to grab it quickly and easily.
That’s it for today. See you in the Twitterchat on Wednesday!
Have a fit, fun and fantastic day!

Cheers for that, really looking forward to it. For anyone that’s considering giving kettlebells a run, this is definitely the place to be.
btw, this probably shows my age; I’ve got ‘This Corrosion’ on vinyl. Yes, an actual record :)

HAHA!! Scott!! re: This Corrosion – um, who doesn’t? LOL. You’ve SEEN my vinyl stack right? I show my dumbbells all the time and the record collection is directly behind the dumbbell stack!! It’s one of the reasons I never bother to move! Too much to cart around! haha!
thanks for the comment.

Hi guys, I can’t be on the show. It’s 9am at my side of the world! However, I’d be pumped if you could address
my questions here in the comments section or teach me how to subscribe to the Twitter chat thing – I’m hopeless with technology!
1) I’ve just bought a 12kg kettlebell. Where do I start? What’s a sample beginner kettlebell circuit I can start with as an intermediate lifter but beginner kettlebell user?
2) what’s the difference between RKC and IKFF styles?
3) When will I know when I can increase the kettlebell weight?
4) Are there a few mobility drills that I could use to teach my hips to fire? I thunk I can’t really activate my hips as when I’m deadlifting, despite trying very hard, my form still sucks and I end up stressing my lower back…
Thanks, guys!

Hi Clement. You can’t really SUBSCRIBE to the twitterchat, but you CAN go into twitter and search the hashtag #sbgym after the twitterchat is over and it will show you the whole conversation
1) you can try these two resources:
http://gwnn.me/KBsTT
and
http://gwnn.me/KBellAcad (will be ready for orders in the next couple of days, unfortunately he’s still waiting on his approvals with the shopping cart company at this exact moment)
2) Scott, can you answer this?
3) and 4) – I highly suggest you find a proper instructor to help you get your form right and help you figure out when its time to increase your weights (although personally, once it starts to feel too ‘easy’ is when I increase my weights, and that applies to any weight training exercise)

Hi Clem,
You can also add your name to our mailing list, and we’ll send you an email when the new twitterchat topics are announced. The sign-up page is :

With the RKC vs IKFF question, I’m not really qualified to answer (not yet, at least). The best person to talk to is probably Josh Hanagarne (worldsstrongestlibrarian.com), or ask in the forums. Lot of instructors there.
