Why You Should Set HUGE Goals For Yourself
Hey Gang!!
Now that the construction is over on MY corner of the building, here’s a little update for you.
Plus… GOALS.
Why should you set HUGE goals for yourself?
Maybe even goals you perceive to be COMPLETELY unattainable by you personally?
Well, in short: BECAUSE YOU MIGHT ACTUALLY DO IT!
Worst case, if you work towards what seems like the impossible you will probably get at least HALFWAY to there (but you’ll likely get even closer than that), and that’s still a pretty damned good achievement right?
I had a little secret goal. I’ve never shared it because… well, truthfully, I thought there was NO WAY IN HELL I’d EVER do it…
… but there it was in the back of my mind anyway.
What is it, you ask? Well, ya gotta watch the video, but there’s a little hint somewhere on this page if you feel like playing ‘detective’.
Today, I tried. Just to see what would happen.
HOLY CRAP!!
Check it out:
And so now, I have a new goal.
I want to do SEVERAL of those babies in a row! Not just one and not just bar to eyes. All the way up, and lots in a set.
And still I think, way in the back of my head “this is a pipe dream… there ain’t NO WAY“.
But today’s result gives me a newer hope, a fresher faith that I CAN do it… that if I keep trying, I WILL do it.
Wish me luck.
Hey, it’s GOOD to have goals.
So set those goals for yourself. And set ’em HIGH.
Then get to WORK at them.
You never know… you might ACTUALLY DO IT!
Have a fit, fun and fantastic day.

ps. okay, okay… if you MUST know without watching the video: I did a one-armed pull-up today! WOW ME!

Jackie,
A freak’n “ONE-ARMED PULLUP”…that’s amazing and a HUGH achievement for anyone, and I’d suggest you’re one of a small crowd who can “pull” it off ! Good Luck on 10-20, it shouldn’t be to far out off sight.
You Rock and continue to impress. Genuinely, Judson.

Wow, that’s an amazing goal! Love your attitude toward having HUGE goals. So true, what if you do get to achieve them?! That’s the reason enough. Also, even if you don’t reach it 100%, you may get half-way there:
Aim to become a US president – you may just become a governor or senator
Aim to become a billionaire – you may end up being a multimillionaire
Aim to win a world triathlon championship – you may end up having a body you could only dream about before
… …
this could go on and on…
So, Have goals, and make sure they are HUGH!
