Krill Conclusions
Hey Gang!
There’s a lot of hub-bub out there lately about Krill Oil and it’s many benefits.
And even though I stand firm against supplements actually being necessary (eat real food, stop popping pills), I got curious.
Are Krill Oil supplements really the ‘magic pill’ they’re being promoted as?
Well, do you remember that post a couple of months ago where I said I was going to try taking a Krill Oil supplement for a while and see if it really IS ‘all that’? (if not, you can see the original post here: About Krill Oil)
And now, I’m finished my little experiment.
Here are my conclusions:
C’mon! We all know by now there IS no ‘magic pill’ right?
However, if you’ve got an issue that CAN’T be helped by cleaning up your diet and sticking to a ‘good nutrition’ plan (and be really sure about that one, because cleaning up your diet can do a whole lot more for your health than you might be giving it credit for)…
… and you’re ALREADY adhering to a healthy eating regime…
… AND the thing that ails you MIGHT be helped by taking a Krill Oil supplement, I’m not gonna stand here wagging my finger at you.
Do what I did: EXPERIMENT.
Try it for a couple of months. It it helps you out, great! If nothing changes, save your money.
As for ‘other’ supplements like multi-vitamins and protein powders… OMG PEOPLE…!!!!
PLEASE clean up your diet and eat REAL FOOD and stop taking processed faux-nutrition in a pill or powder. Get your nutrients from actual FOOD, not ‘extracted bits of food processed into something else’.
Your body EXPECTS real food. Your body CRAVES real food. Your body knows WHAT TO DO with real food.
Why confuse it? Give it the tools it WANTS and NEEDS to help you STAY HEALTHY and LIVE LONGER.
Okay. End of rant. I’ve stamped my foot petulantly at you long enough! LOL
But hey… (this is IMPORTANT): if you’re gonna try Krill Oil out for yourself, make SURE you get a GOOD QUALITY one.
Since Dr. Oz started recommending this supplement, there are a suddenly lot of cheap-o versions out there because suppliers smelled big money and started cranking out cheap, but not pure, versions of Krill Oil in an attempt to capitalize upon Dr. Oz’s recommendation.
So, make sure you get a good one from a reputable supplier, otherwise you may just be wasting your bucks on something that won’t do a darned thing for you.
Prograde Nutrition IS a reputable and trustworthy supplier and I recommend them highly IF you absolutely do need a supplement like Krill Oil.
