Support Is Everywhere
Sometimes support comes from the most unexpected sources.
Case in point: today, during and at the end of my hillsprints session, I was given support by no less than FOUR completely unrelated and random strangers.
So, of course I gave it right back (where I could … one guy didn’t give me the option).
When stuff like that happens, it can be really motivating.
It can also help a person find energy where they thought they had none left to burn.
If you’re open to it, support really IS everywhere.
Ya just gotta pay attention when it’s coming your way.
Here’s the whole story:
Never be afraid to offer some random stranger support when they’re working hard. It can go a long way.
And if someone shouts “GO GET ‘EM” at you while you’re doing your thing, let it feed you. Take all the energy you can get from it.
It really does help make the workouts more fun …
… and sometimes it even makes the task at hand seem just a little bit easier.
Have a fit, fun and fantastic day.

Hello Jackie
My daughter, who lives in Calgary, and is now a Canadian, occasionally runs in 22k races and she told me how she was so pleased to see the support she got when running. The support not only came from spectators but also other runners during and at the end of races. Some runners who had finished their race then joined the spectators to cheer people who were struggling to finish. A special note: some of the runners were in their 70`s and 80`s and were beating others less that half their own age.
Take care and thank you Jackie
Airborne Hugs are on there way to you right now!!

Hey Mike… that’s awesome.. yah, those races are AWESOME for supportive people cheering each other on. They’re not for me, cuz I’m a solo runner but I’ve been in a couple and it is awesome to see so many smiling faces out there cheering for everyone, regardless of age, fitness level or anything else. Very motivating and uplifting as well!
thanks for the awesome comment!

Sometimes a person could be on the brink of giving up. The only thing that keeps them going is your support. Even when you thought you had nothing left in the tank one word from someone could keep you going. We just have to take our eyes of ourselves and put it on someone else.

Wow, sounds like you had an awesome experience. Sometimes enthusiasm can be contagious :)
I have had buddies all watching me squatting in the gym and cheering me on. It’s a great feeling.
So I can only imagine interacting with strangers in that regard. There can be great camaraderie in the fitness world sometimes.

Thanks! Yes, it was pretty cool… never forget to give it to someone who deserves it, when you can, also! :-)
