Music For Strength Training
Yay Friday! About time, eh?
In the interest of getting this book rockin’ I’m taking an extended long weekend.
Good news is: I’m finished WRITING it.
Bad news is: Editing is HARD! LOL
So, I’m too buried to blog today.
However, I thought I’d leave you with something to keep you feeling motivated and ‘in tune’ with getting your workout done today!
My Top Ten List of Favourite Songs to Lift To!
WARNING: For me, Angst = Strength, so prepare yourself, there’s gonna be some good anger and angst in this list …
Enjoy:
10) Manchester Orchestra – I’ve Got Friends
9) The Mission UK – Tower of Strength
8) Blondie – Victor
7) Derek And The Dominos – Layla
6) Candlebox – You
5) Faith No More – Midlife Crisis
4) Cracker – Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)
3) Middle Class Rut – I Guess You Could Say
2) Pennywise – F*&k Authority
… and my current ABSOLUTE favourite lifting song is …
1) W.A.S.P. – Paint It Black … (never have the Rolling Stones been covered better or with more emotion)
(actually #1 and #2 might be a tie in my heart… wow, those two tunes really get me lifting hard ‘n heavy!)
… my list actually has over 600 STRICTLY angst-filled GREAT lifting songs, but those are the ones that probably get me to press “play again” when they’re playing and coming to the end …
… they’re just THAT good for strength training!
Ok, off ya go! Now all you have to do is hit iTunes to get them for your own workout mix.
Have a fit, fun and fantastic day.
